ApartmentThe apartment spans over the top two floors of a 2010's new build and is topped by a spacious roof terrace with amazing views of the city. Minimally dressed in all white, the space consisted of mainly lacquered surfaces, Corian elements and mostly white furniture.
Our clients, a young family, approached us to help expand the palette.
We proposed a wooden ceiling, giving warmth and exuding a resort like feel. Linen curtains and bamboo blinds furthermore add tactility and texture. We will cover the existing Corian kitchen counter with Bavarian Muschelkalk. The same stone will continue in a small niche, hidden behind pocket doors, in the otherwise concealed kitchen aisle.
The central living and dining area both group around a small fireplace creating an intimate stage for family togetherness and entertaining close friends.
A study area with just a desk allows for keeping up with emails while still participating in family life and a small reading nook is both still life and favourite nap spot for the family dog.
