A long-time client of ours relocated to Stockholm. He found a marvellous apartment by the harbour, right on iconic Strandvägen.

We designed a complete overhaul, combining rooms and opening up walls to accommodate the lifestyle of the young family.

The entry hall leads directly into the kitchen, dining and living area through an open doorway. Walls are plastered, and grey sandstone floors and mouldings are elegantly detailed. A parquet floor from a Portuguese workshop, laid in a puzzle pattern, runs throughout the apartment.

The family room and study are clad in hinged wood panels, concealing storage, media, and a door to the primary suite. The suite itself holds just the bed, a tub and a small fireplace.

The corridor connecting the parents' space with the children's room doubles as a dressing room, with fabric-covered cabinets.

The children's bathroom, clad in silver travertine, has a large tub and shower and two floating hexagonal vanities, each with space for a stool underneath.

The whimsical children's bedroom offers space for play and study on multiple levels. Surrounded by floral wallpaper, the two tuck into cosy alcove beds.
